Earlier this year, the closest thing we had to a local needlecraft store where I live, the local super-retailer, clearanced most of the Cross Stitch supplies, including the DMC floss. At first I was thrilled because I was able to add a lot of fabric and floss to my "stash." Then, I began to ponder this question - where am I going to purchase floss when I have a stitching emergency? I won't be able to dash to the 24-hour store any more.

This week, I noticed that a small selection of Anchor floss had been added to the diminished embroidery section. I am glad they have floss, but DMC has been my primary six-strand embroidery floss for decades. Now, I have to drive miles away or order my floss, requiring me to be a bit more organized than usual.
