P is for Pig Pattern
Saturday September 22, 2007
My Mom and step-dad used to have pigs. I don't mean just a few pigs, I mean that had hundreds of pigs. Pigs are very smart, and baby pigs are extremely cute. This intelligence and cuteness does not detract from the fact that pigs are the absolute smelliest animals I have ever encountered.
For years, my sister and I would give Mom pig-themed items for every birthday, holiday, and special event. She was really glad when we got off that kick. I just had to design a pig pattern in her honor, so here is the next letter in the Alphabet Sampler series. Stitch the free P is for Pig pattern as an individual project, or collect all the patterns for a larger project.
I have been stitching my sampler for my nephew. He is just beginning to learn his letters - he can even write his name now - so I am hoping the design will help him on his educational journey. Unlike the Night Train design I am making for him, I might get this alphabet sampler finished before he is out of kindergarten. Night Train - I am hoping to get it done before he is out of middle school. Then, I have to finish the second one in the series. A stitcher's work never ends (thank goodness).
