Poll - Which Way Do Your Half Stitches Face?

Monday November 26, 2007
This poll was inspired by a thread in the Forum that was started by The Night Terror. She asked about stitching right or left-handed. In the resulting conversation, several stitchers described which way their initial half stitches faced.

Now, if you are new to Cross Stitch, this may be something you haven't learned yet. One of the cardinal rules of Cross Stitch is that all the bottom half stitches of the cross stitch should face the same way. Of course, this means all the top half stitches will face the same direction too.

My initial half stitches always face to the right, by the way. Right now I have a photo of a symmetrical stitched project saved as my desktop background. I just got a new 22-inch monitor and now I have to change the photo because I can tell that I managed to photograph the design upside down!
