Yesterday, I was sitting on the deck and I saw several deer cavorting in the back yard, the birds were lined up on the swingset waiting to get to the feeder, a hummingbird was sipping nectar, and the squirrels were nibbling under the bird feeder. I swear, if some little mice ran by saying something about Cinderella, it would not have suprised me. It was definitely a technicolor kind of day.

It has also been unseasonably hot where I live, but I am not going to complain about it. I am just going to soak up some rays (not too many though) and enjoy the scenery. I was reminded of my little Happy Sun pattern. I think I will stitch it on a towel to brighten up my kitchen.

The Happy Sun pattern is one of several Free Summer-Themed Cross Stitch Charts available at About.com Cross Stitch.

What a great little pattern! This would look cute in beads too :-)

You totally reminded me that I have a ton of orange seed beads I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby – now I know I can use them for something besides pumpkins ;)
