Cross Stitch Magazines

Monday June 23, 2008
BevyT posted this question in the Forum: "I was just wondering how many of you buy the monthly magazines that are available out there for counted cross-stitch and which is your favorite? Right now I'm more interested in real detailed type of stitching. I just received a flyer for a new magazine for the USA from Britain called Cross Stitch Gold; has anyone seen/bought this one?"

How many magazine subscriptions do you have? Vote in the poll and let us know. Then visit the About.com Cross Stitch Forum to participate in the conversation about Cross Stitch Magazines.

How many do I have? Well, I subscribe to six stitchery magazines. I buy others at my local bookseller. I also treasure my collection of Leisure Arts For the Love of Cross Stitch magazines. Suffice it to say I have quite a collection of magazines even after sending some off to new homes lately.

I have a couple of the cross stitch gold magazines that I have bought used and they are wonderful!!! My favorite mags are Stoney Creek, Leisure Arts, For the Love of Cross Stitch (by Leisure Arts) and Cross Stitch Gold (from England) & its sister mag from Spain/Portugal. The patterns are usually well worth the price of the mags. Happy Stitching!!

Cross Stitch Gold is excellent! It’s not new however, it’s started publication in 2000. I own almost all the issues from 2000-2005. I have an index of cross stitch magazines at http://www.xsmagdb.com. I’m off to the forum to look around!

I am interested in purchasing #54 of Cross Stitch Gold … has two patterns I MUST have … the Victorian House and Lesley Tear’s Oriental Beauty. Any idea where I might find the magazine?
