Organizing My Stitching Space

By June 27, 2008

Follow me on:

This week I have been working on my craft room (formerly known as the guest room). I totally rearranged the furniture to make room for a desk so I can have my computer in there. The desk arrived today - now I just have to get the room ready for it and put it together.

Once the organization is complete, I will post some new photos of my stitching space. I found some new organizers for my supplies that I will be telling you about too. I am trying to maximize my space so that everything will have a place instead of being in constant dissarray and chaos like it is right now! I still have a lot of work to do, believe me, but it will be worth it when I have everything in place.

There's a twin bed in there because we still have to use the room for guests sometimes and my friend Jane made me a great quilt for it. I plan to make some Stamped Cross Stitch pillows for the bed. I already have the kits and the floss picked out - now I just need to find time to stitch them up. I haven't done any stamped work in a long time, so I will be brushing up on those skills.

If you have any great tips to share about Stamped Cross Stitch, why not submit them today? Also, use the Comments section below or post in the Forum to tell us about your stitching space.

I have found that the sets of plastic tiny drawers like you can find in the Automotive section at Target, meant for using to store screws and stuff in the garage work great to keep various beads and other stitching supplies organized in a small amount of space. You can stack them or mount them on the wall.
