Tonia Pappan - OakHaven Cross Stitch Designs
Thursday August 21, 2008
This week I have been under-the-weather. Everyone in my family had a bug, and I hoped I had avoided it, but NO - I was the final victim. But, there's no way I am going to whine too much about spending a couple of days in bed after hearing Tonia Pappan's story. Tonia is the designer behind OakHaven Cross Stitch designs and she has come back from not one, but two disabling strokes to continue her work as a designer. Learn more about Tonia.
I know several stitchers who have overcome adversity to continue stitching. One of my friends was forced to be in bed for awhile due to an injury and she still managed to work out a way to lay on her side and stitch! Have you developed a way to stitch in spite of injury or disability? Let us know about it using the Comments button below. Your story may inspire others to take up stitching or to pull out projects they thought were put away for good.
