A Side of Etsy With Your Cross Stitch Anyone?

Sunday September 7, 2008
I sometimes get emails from stitchers who are looking for custom stitching patterns or who are interested in selling their own designs on a small scale. The answer for both types of stitchers might just be Etsy.

Etsy may also be just what you are looking for if you want to sell your finished products.

You may be asking yourself, what the heck is Etsy? Well, Etsy is an online marketplace for all things handmade. There are hundreds of entries for Needlecrafts alone. I don't have a shop on Etsy myself, but I have a friend who does and she's had a good response to her items. She's not getting rich, but she is breaking even.

There are all sorts of crafters who offer custom items, so if you don't see exactly what you are looking for, odds are you can request it from one of the vendors.

Have you bought or sold crafts on Etsy? Vote in the Poll and let us know. Select the answer that best applies to you.

Fiber lovers will find a lot of great stuff over there. I buy and sell over there myself. Along with finished items and supplies, you can also sell or buy patterns too.
