Free Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Cross Stitch Pattern

I have a craft storage box full of odds and ends of floss. I save left-over floss from kits, odds and ends left from projects, and bits I find around the house - mystery floss, I call it.

I sort the floss by color using Mr. Roy - Roy G. Biv (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).

I've been trying to think of a project to do that will use up some of this scrappy floss. I think the Reduce, Reuse, Recyle motif would be great. It would let me use up some of my floss while making a "green" statement at the same time!

What do you do with your odds and ends of floss? I know one stitcher who saves all her snippets and puts them in clear ornaments. I may use some of my shorter lengths for that this year - it's a new way to add my love of Cross Stitch to my tree!
