New Year's Resolutions for Stitchers

Monday December 29, 2008
I usually don't make New Year's Resolutions. But, a few years ago, I started making Stitching Resolutions. This year is no different. My biggest resolve for 2009 is to encourage other stitchers to teach someone how to Cross Stitch.

I'll start now. This year, why don't you resolve to teach someone how to stitch? Think about what stitching means to you and all the benefits you get from it. Share your special hobby with someone and pass the gift of relaxation and creativity along.

Do you make stitching resolutions? Vote in the poll and let us know which one's you are considering this year. Select all that apply and leave a comment (before you vote) if you have one that is not listed.

The free Happy New Year pattern is quick to stitch and will be a great addition to a card or wreath.

My problem this year? After stitching the same snowman ornament several times to give as a Christmas gift, I FAILED in the finishing by Christmas department! My goal for next year is to finish the ornaments I’ve already stitched and make sure I get it done BEFORE Christmas!!!

This year I plan to continue the resolution I started a couple of years ago: I will stitch the kits I have already bought, I will finish the projects I have already bought the supplies for, and I will stitch the gifts I already have ideas for, before I buy anything else. I love to look in stitching stores and web sites at all the lovely kits and patterns, and I see things I would love to stitch, and I have bought so much, that I really need to finish what I already have before I buy any more.
