Question from the Forum - Potter Colors?

Dangal posed an interesting question in the About.com Cross Stitch Forum. She writes, "Which DMC colors match closest to the Harry Potter colors burgundy and yellow?" Not only am I intrigued about what project she is planning, but I wondered if anyone had suggestions for her. What do you think?"

While we are discussing floss colors, what are your favorites? My very favorite DMC colors are the 930 blues - any of them. I find them soothing. I haven't chosen favorite Anchor flosses, but I am trying to decide. Each floss type is different. Some flosses, like Dinky Dyes overdyed flosses are so beautiful I could never just pick one. Lately, I have been stitching with ThreadworX floss - delicious color ranges. It also stitches up really well. It is obvious that a quality floss was used as the bases. I spent a lot of time testing out new flosses, at least new to me, during the past few months - so expect to hear a lot more about different flosses from me in the coming weeks!
