The free Candlewicking Trio Pattern is one of the growing collection of patterns for this traditional needlework style. The graphic at right represents the central motif of the design.

Candlewicking does not involve wax and wicks, but is an embroidery method that uses colonial knots to create simple designs, usually with ecru floss and muslin fabric, but you may want to try different color combinations.

Use the information in Candlewicking Basics to get started or brush up on your skills. You will want to use a hoop for this embroidery style.
