Free Cat in Window Cross Stitch Patterns
Thursday February 12, 2009
My dog, Girlie, is quickly becoming a very spoiled dog. Of course, I am pretty spoiled too. It's nice to have a household member who gets so excited to see you when you have been away from home - or if you just sleep late. I am not a morning person, so my hubby lets me sleep in a little when he can. He takes her out and then feeds her. She usually mopes around in the kitchen or sleeps in her little bed until I get up. Then she does the happy dance all over the kitchen and eats some kibble while I have my breakfast.
As much as I am enamored of the dog, I still miss having cats. We had a kitten for a short time, but unfortunately it was sick and didn't make it. We are hoping to adopt another kitty soon, but we want to wait a bit until we get Girlie house trained. She's doing really well, but she still hasn't quite learned how to let us know she has to go out.
I will be visiting with my sister-in-law this week and she has two lovely orange tabbies (brothers) who will help me get my cat fix. They are very loving and I enjoy spending time with them.
Even though I don't have a feline companion right now, I certainly enjoy stitching cat-themed patterns. I have just added a new set to the free patterns at About.com Cross Stitch. The free Cat in Window Cross Stitch Patterns are available in three sizes. The charts are based on About.com Guide to Quilting Janet Wickell's Cat Quilt Block. Stitch the design in the suggested colors or change them up a bit to reflect the coloring of your favorite feline friend.
