Let it Snow!

Sunday March 1, 2009
We are keeping our eyes peeled for snowflakes where I live - for those of you say, "So what?" you have to understand that I live in Northwest Georgia. We rarely see snow, so it is exciting for us. When there is even a hint of flurries, bread and milk are in high demand and children keep their fingers crossed for snow days off from school. Of course, even if it snows, we won't have enough accumulation to make a snowman or have real snowball fights. But, it is fun to watch the flakes fall.

My sister and her family live in Utah - in the mountains of Utah - so snow is a given for them. They ski, snowmobile, and enjoy all sorts of winter activities. When I visit, I enjoy staying inside and watching the flakes fall (you won't see me on the slopes, in other words).

I stitched the free Snow Family pattern on a fingertip towel with an Aida insert as a gift for her. She collects snowmen, so it was fitting.

I’m in South Carolina, just underneath Charlotte, NC. We did get the snow, about 2-3 inches worth. Still got little tiny patches after 2 days have passed.

I’m not a fan of snow at all. I was born and raised in Florida, and snow pretty much freaks me out :)
