Free Wee Dragon Cross Stitch Pattern

Thursday April 9, 2009
I love trying new-to-me flosses. Madeira Floss, made in Germany, is not a new brand, but I'd never stitched with it until earlier this week. The floss is presented in a "Sticktwist" package. The package protects the floss from dust and grime since you only pull out the floss you need. I do wish there were a small pocket on the back of the pack for extra floss. I remedied this storage issue by adding a small bag to my ring of Madeira floss.

I used Madeira floss to stitch the free Wee Dragon Cross Stitch Chart. I chose a variegated floss for the dragon's body and red for the flames. The Wee Dragon pattern is one of three dragon charts in the Dragon Cross Stitch Chart Collection.

I certainly plan to stitch more with Madeira floss. I am already scheming on how to collect all the colors of Madeira floss available.
