Last Minute Easter Projects

Follow me on:

I don't have kids or grandkids. My niece and nephew live miles away. Girlie (my dog) doesn't want dye on her fur. I wish I had someone to dye eggs with! Next year, I am going to make some all by myself. Even if I am the only one who will enjoy them.

Are you looking for a few very last minute Easter projects? Here are a few suggestions:
  • Back Stitch Egg - Stitch the outline, then fill it in with paints, glitter glue, or ribbon. Fun project for the kids.
  • One Dozen Egg Patterns - Stitch up some of these eggs, frame or stuff them, and add them to a wreath for a quick decoration.
  • Daffodil and Tulip Chart - Celebrate Spring with a fun pattern.
  • Bunnies Squared Pattern - Use variegated floss to add more interest to this project.
  • Miniature Bunnies - About.com Guide to Miniatures, Lesley Shepherd, has a lovely little bunny chart you can easily stitch for a pin or basket decoration.
Hope you have a lovely Easter if you are celebrating! Remember to follow Egg safety rules if you are using hardboiled eggs. Danilo Alfaro, About.com Guide to Culinary Arts lays down the law in One Dozen Egg Safety Tips. Stay safe - don't let food-related illness ruin the fun.
