Licensed Character Patterns

I get emails from stitchers looking for free patterns all the time. Many stitchers are searching for free licensed character Cross Stitch patterns such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Disney characters, and Dora the Explorer. There's a reason they are not easily found.

While I am not a copyright lawyer, I do know that most characters are copyright protected. When something is copyrighted, permission from the copyright holder is required to make derivative works such as Cross Stitch patterns.

I have searched out sources for some character patterns, but few are free. If you want legal character Cross Stitch patterns, you will have to pay for the pleasure of stitching them.
