Have I mentioned lately how much I love variegated flosses? The free Mayan Temple Pattern is shown here as stitched with two strands of Gloriana 12-ply silk floss. The yummy color is Cranberry (#062). It has a slight variation in color that gives a rich look to this simple design.

What a nice pattern! You’re right, the floss color sets it off perfectly.
The cranberry is a yummy color, but I can also see this pattern done in earth colors.
This subtle variegation is so much nicer than the early days of variegated floss and yarns! I love how it adds a subtle richness — Elegant!!
