Photo of the Week - Yoruba Forgiveness Proverb

Wednesday June 10, 2009
The free Yoruba Forgiveness Proverb pattern is stitched with two different colors of Caron Impressions floss on blush 14-count fabric from Charles Craft. This was my first time stitching with this floss and it really made an impression on me. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.)

That is lovely! And yes, I agree with it, too. Forgiveness and letting go of hurt can take real strength sometimes.

Our ancestors who were fond of featuring favorite sayings in their needlework might have had the right idea. By the time you’ve spent the time necessary to create a piece like this, the idea must be fairly firmly ingrained in one’s head.

Words to live by, and a beautiful way to remember them. That whole set would make a lovely wall display. Just what I need: another new project. :)
