Happy Father's Day

To all the dads and families celebrating today - Happy Father's Day! It is always a bittersweet day for me since my father died when I was in my early 20's, but I have so many good memories that I can't feel too sad.
My Husband and I are parents, of a sort, to our doghter Girlie. I don't know why we fell into the habit of calling one another Girlie's "Mommy" and "Daddy" but I know we are not the only ones who do that. Girlie and I are going to make a special breakfast for her Daddy - she will be supervising since she is not allowed to use the stove.
The next holiday we will be celebrating at my house will be the Fourth of July. Here are some patterns for you to check out:
