I initially resisted joining Facebook. I didn't need another distraction, did I? After hearing a few friends rave about it, I took the plunge. Boy, am I glad I did. I have been able to catch up with so many friends from high school and college that I'd lost track of over the years. (I am still amazed at how OLD so many have gotten.)
Another great thing about Facebook is that it is a way for me to find new Cross Stitch designers, groups, stores and so on. Here's a list of a few I have discovered. Share links to your favorites in the comments section below.

I would be remiss if I did not also point out that you can become a fan of About.com Cross Stitch on Facebook too. It's just another way to keep up with the latest happenings here - and a way to get sneak peeks of new free patterns.

So glad you joined facebook Cuz! It is a great way to stay connected over the miles.
I’m fairly new to FaceBook. Friends and family encouraged me to join. It’s so easy to keep up with everyone since comments are brief. I had no idea there were “groups.” I’ll check it out.
I am not a fan of facebook yet although sometimes I do get people bugging me to join. When I read your post today about cross stitch groups, other stitching sites, and stitching ‘friends’ that you could access all at one place I was intrigued. I will bookmark this post of yours and if I join in the future, It will be a huge help to me.
Thanks so much
