Here's a look at Irene's interpretation of the free Mayan Temple Pattern. She titles her tweaked version, "Blossom."
She writes, "When I saw your pattern for Mayan Temple, I saw a blossom in it. So still experimenting with variegated floss, I stitched just the crosses in the pattern, left out the backstitches and just did some backstitching around what appeared to be petals...." Read more.

I love things like this, where people see the same thing in completely different ways!
Perception clearly is in the eye of the beholder. Blossom is beautiful. As a lover of flowers, I can’t help but be drawn to it. Plus, yellow is such a happy color.
It’s a lovely design. The colors she chose really make it look like a flower.
Isn’t it neat how we each see the same things in slightly different ways? I love the variety that sharing our perceptions with each other brings!
