Wednesday September 23, 2009

Daisy. It was a Peter Rabbit bookmark cross stitch kit by Anchor. I was quite excited to start this, and hoped I would get on well with it as I'd never done a cross stitch before, although I always meant to try." Read more...

That’s gorgeous! I’ve always loved Beatrix Potter’s illustrations, and they “translate” beautifully into cross stitch.
I also love Potter’s illustrations. If you haven’t seen the 2006 movie Miss Potter, I highly recommend it. It’s heartwarming but not cloying, and gives a good insight into the Victorian period. Nice work, Louise!
Thanks so much for posting my bookmark! I’m pleased with how it turned out. Since, i have made a small cross stitch of a bird for a birthday card, and i have other plans for more. how exciting!
I am the biggest fan of Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit ever. I have the dolls, commemorative plates, and the books, of course. This is gorgeous! Love it!
