Louise Michelle Reade is proud to show off her first project, a Peter Rabbit Cross Stitch Bookmark by Anchor. She writes, "I was bought a cross stitch for my birthday in June by my lovely friend Daisy. It was a Peter Rabbit bookmark cross stitch kit by Anchor. I was quite excited to start this, and hoped I would get on well with it as I'd never done a cross stitch before, although I always meant to try." Read more...

That’s gorgeous! I’ve always loved Beatrix Potter’s illustrations, and they “translate” beautifully into cross stitch.

I also love Potter’s illustrations. If you haven’t seen the 2006 movie Miss Potter, I highly recommend it. It’s heartwarming but not cloying, and gives a good insight into the Victorian period. Nice work, Louise!
