Barbara Perpoli has been a frequent contributor to the About.com Cross Stitch Photo Albums. She's shared photos of many interesting projects, and the latest two are no exception. She submitted two photos of projects inspired by Venice. The first, shown here, is of a gondolier plying his trade. The second shows a colorful view of Venice.

That is just beautiful. Venezia is one of my favorite cities. My husband brought me there in 2007. On our way back home, while in Padova, he asked me to get married. This cross stitch design helps me remember that lovely trip. Thanks!

This is just a beautiful piece. I always love practical application. What a great way use for cross stitch. I imagine that may have been how cross stitch originated as a from of art depicting scenery.
