Feedback Wanted - Ratchet Needlework Frame

Thursday October 1, 2009
One of the more controversial tools I have written about here at About.com Cross Stitch is the Ratchet Needlework Frame. I have several and I enjoy using them. Maybe not as much as my Q-snaps and Spring Tension Hoops, but they do see use, especially when I am stitching "over one".

Once, my mom had a friend who needed a frame for a project and since I had two of them, I decided to part with one. I told her she could have it if she liked it. She promptly brought it back saying she couldn't stand it!

It seems that some stitchers have a hard time getting the fabric even. Others complained about the fabric being loose. Have you used the Ratchet Needlework Frame? What did you think about it? Give your feedback about it. If you have any tips for using it, let us know them too.
