Free Weekend Project: Golden Rule Sampler

Here's a Cross Stitch project with a few specialty stitches thrown in that should be easy to complete this weekend, or maybe in a few weekends depending on your speed, how much time you are able to spend stitching, and whether or not the little green critters invade. (Frogs, that is.) The free Golden Rule Sampler combines bands of stitches and a familiar saying.

I stitched my sampler on linen in Kreinik silk flosses in some of my favorite colors. Of course you may prefer Aida and cotton floss, but that would be just as fine for the project. I also stitched this design "over one" thread because I wanted a challenge and an excuse to use my Mighty Bright Vusion light. Feel free to stitch it as a larger project, over two threads or one square of Aida.
