Have you ever stitched on silk gauze? I have a piece of 40-count I've been intending to try, but haven't found the perfect project for yet. I also got a cool Kreinik kit from abullrun.com that shows a Siamese kitty head in profile. It's somewhere in my "do this someday" stash.
I thought I was being adventuresome ordering a piece of 40-count gauze until I realized that Kreinik also offers 72, 84, and 90 count. I can't imagine stitching on 90-count! I wanted to ‘vote’ because I’ve just purchased a small piece of silk gauze for use in my first cross stitch project of this kind. I’ve stitched for years and love it…always wanted to try the miniature stitching. Thought maybe this story might inspire someone else to take-the-leap. Karen
