To all the dads and families celebrating today - Happy Father's Day! It is always a bittersweet day for me since my father died when I was in my early 20's, but I have so many good memories that I can't feel too sad.
My husband and I are parents, of a sort, to our doghter Girlie and right now, three orphan kittens. I don't know why we always call one another Girlie's "Mommy" and "Daddy" but I know we are not the only ones who do that. Girlie is ready to be an only fur-child - she's a little tired of the kittens being in her domain.
