Diamonds and Squares Back Stitch Pattern

I enjoy experimenting with color, especially on hand-dyed fabrics. For the free Diamonds and Squares Back Stitch pattern the fabric I chose reminded me of copper. So I chose floss colors to represent the patinas copper often has. I like the way the project turned out, but it may be too colorful for you. That is why this pattern is a "choose-your-own colors" chart.

This motif is also used in the Give Thanks pattern. This pattern is suitable for Thanksgiving, but really could be used as a reminder all year to be thankful for what we have.
