I find pattern inspiration everywhere I go. I look for cool color combinations in magazines or in catalogs. I find architectural details very inspiring. I carry a little notepad with me so I can sketch out ideas. I bemoan the fact that I can't remember to take my camera with me when I head out so I can get reference photos.
The color combination I chose for the free multi-color Radiating Diamond was inspired by the colors used in a Christmas card I got a few years ago. The greens and browns weren't traditional holiday colors, but they were very pleasing to my eye.
Since you may not find this color combination as pleasing as I do, I offer two versions of the Radiating Diamond pattern. The first is a single color design. The second is a multi-color chart of the design as shown here.
As always, if you stitch this free pattern, please submit a photo of your project. We love to see your work!
