Start the Boss Stitch with a waste knot. Bring the threaded needle up at point 1 and take it down at point 2 to complete a half stitch, the first step of the Boss Stitch.
In this tutorial the Boss Stitch is stitched over two squares of Aida. The stitch may be stitched over one square, but careful placement of the components of the Boss Stitch will be required for the stitch to be shaped properly.
