Guide Review - Christmas Cross Stitch - Over 500 Festive Motifs and Designs

Overview of Contents:

The first quarter of this book is devoted to an introduction with information about stitching methods and material and many pages of instructions for finishing designs.

The motifs are presented in the final three-quarters of the book. Themes include:
  • Christmas Classics
  • Christmas Carols
  • Advent Motifs
  • Saint Nicholas
  • A Child is Born
  • Santa's Sleigh
  • Country Advent
  • Snowflakes
  • Shaker Style Christmas
  • Santa's Helpers
  • The Nativity
  • Reindeer
  • Tree Decorations (these are my favorite designs in the book)
  • Snow Scenes
  • Robins
  • Angels on High
  • Oh Christmas Tree
  • Penguin Fun
  • Baby's Christmas
  • A Victorian Christmas
  • Sweets and Treats
  • Christmas Flowers
  • A Child's Christmas
  • Tag It
  • Christmas Fairies
  • Angels
  • Teddies at Christmas
  • Snow Birds and Snow Bears
  • Twelve Days of Christmas
  • Christmas Linen
  • Christmas Sentiments
  • Alphabets and Numbers
As you can see, a wide variety of themes is represented in the book. The charts are clear and easy to read for the most part. Some charts use blocks of color with no symbols which are difficult to distinguish without a bright light in the stitching area.

Because of the diversity of projects, Christmas Cross Stitch - Over 500 Festive Motifs and Designs will be a great addition to any stitcher's bookshelf.
