Guide Review - Cross Stitch Cuties

This book has cute designs, but they are cute without being cutesy. There are over thirty designs in the book ranging from animals to angels to seasonal designs.

Overview of Contents:
Animal Antics
In these designs by Jane Henderson, animals cavort and play in scenes that celebrate the four seasons. Stitch the designs together for a large project or individually.
Nursery Dreams
Charming Animal motifs grace an afghan for baby's crib in these designs by Joanne Sanderson. As in other sections, many ideas for pulling individual elements from the charts to create smaller projects are provided.
Big is Beautiful
Claire Crompton's unique flair gives realistic but still cute details to these animal designs. An ostrich, a hippo, a bear, and a gorilla are combined with humorous sayings. My favorite design is the bear. He says, "I'm in shape. Round is a shape, isn't it?"
It's a Cat's World
Cats are among the cutest creatures in the universe - just ask mine. Lesley Teare shares designs that showcase kitties at their cutest. My favorite design in the book is the "Dotty Kittens" which features two kittens exploring a blue-and-white teapot set among vibrant flowers.
Wedded Teddies
Add a cute element to a wedding celebration with these cute teddies and wedding accessories designed by Joan Elliot.
Little Angels
Childhood is celebrated in these patterns from Lesley Teare. Designs include tiny ballerina, a soccer player, a little fairy, a cook's helper and a carpenter's assistant, and a tiny shepherd.
It's a Dog's Life
Joan Elliot uses doggies to illustrate cute sayings like "I'm creative. Don't expect me to be neat too." (I need to stitch this one to hang above my desk!)
Christmas Cuties
Ursula Michael's distictive designs for Santas and Snowfolk are presented with many ideas for using the patterns for interesting Christmas decorations.
