Overview of Chapters

Each chapter begins with the photograph of a large sampler, stitched from the first chart. One or two alphabets related to the theme are also included in each chapter. (Other designs included in the chapter are not pictured as finished designs.)

Chapter One - Celebrations

Designs for holidays and other special days include everything from birth to retirement. Small motifs for graduation, vacation, Christmas, New Year's Day, and even Spring are included.

Chapter Two - Favorite Things

Hobbies and Collections are the focus. Designs for Train enthusiasts, Horse Lovers, Noah's Ark Collectors are side-by-side with tea pots, golf tees, fish, and music instruments.

Chapter Three - Home Sweet Home

Folksy and homespun patterns for creating a welcoming atmosphere in your home. Some of the most beautiful designs in the book are in this chapter.

Chapter Four - Kindred Spirits

Family and occupations are the theme. Combine the charts to create a family tree, a "world's greatest" aunt or any other favorite person. Create a design for a special teacher or friend.

Chapter Five - Love and Friendship

Sayings about love, wedding motifs, and cute animal designs are featured.

Chapter Six - Mother Nature

Birds, flowers, butterflies, and animals, including a really cute frog are among the designs in the final chapter of the book.
