The final step in stitching a velvet stitch is to bring the needle up at point D, indicated by a yellow dot in figure 3. Insert the threaded needle at point B, indicated by a blue dot and complete the cross stitch. Once again, the half stitch should be stitched outside the loop to secure it properly.
