Brittercup Designs by Michelle M. Lash

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Company Name: Brittercup Designs
Designer: Michelle M. Lash began her design career in 1997 as a freelance designer for companies such as Leisure Arts and Imaginating. Her use of linen, specialty threads, and embellishments made it hard to find publishing companies who would accept the designs. She decided to self-publish her cross stitch designs. Brittercup Designs was created in 2002.
Types of Designs: Kitty, puppy and horse designs are prevalent along with designs based on special occasions and holidays.
Stitching Level Required: Designs use specialty threads, charms, buttons, and other embellishments. Most designs are intended to be stitched on linen. Most of the designs, however, are not extremely complicated. Beginning stitchers should look at a chart or kit carefully before choosing one of these designs. Stitchers with more experience who enjoy using embellishments and special threads will find plenty of designs to stitch.
Homepage Features: Brittercup Designs homepage has a store locator, a printable list of new designs, and detailed pictures of each design in the collection.
