Name of Company:

Heartland House Designs

The Couple Behind the Designs:

For over 25 years, John and Pat Henek have been the team behind the unique designs of Heartland House. Pat develops each design, stitches the prototype, and interacts with customers and vendors while John manages the marketing and advertising elements of the business.

Themes of Designs:

Designs are based on museum collections, botanical prints, architectural masterpieces, tropical fish, national symbols, historic buildings, and endangered animal designs.

Special Focus on Frank Lloyd Wright:

Many designs are based on the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, the "Father of American Architecture". The Heneks live in Wright's home town of Oak Park, Illinois. Heartland House is the exclusive source for needlework adaptations from art glass, architectural elements, decorative designs, and magazine covers found in the Wright Foundation archives. A portion of the sales of Wright designs goes to support the foundation's work.

Stitching Level Required:

Designs are appropriate for beginner and intermediate stitchers.
