Designer:
The designer behind Gecko Rouge is Glenn Hill who also designs under the names of Kimbles and HillCraft.
The Beginnings:
Glenn describes how he got started, "My mum Debbie is an avid cross-stitcher and asked me to look into creating some designs for her. She has had trouble finding original modern art designs."
Dominant Themes:
"Most have bright colors and with a twisted contemporary edge. However my designs are varied depending on my creative mood, therefore you have mix of fun and fascinating," according to Glenn. "The Tiger Elements are a good example of our designs which include bright colors, the contemporary twist which often makes you look twice."
Sources of Inspiration:
Glenn has a creative imagination that plays a role in his designs. "Ideas just pop into my head or come by accident and then I just play around with the design until I feel it's visually pleasing."
Favorite Designs:
Glenn describes some of his favorite work. "I have so many favorites as they all hold memories such as the Eiffel Towers (Trip to Paris) The tigers grew from an acrylic painting which I made especially for my mum and then accidentally sold on eBay after the really high reserve was met (only put it on to see what the response would be like)."

Gecko Rouge sells both kits and charts and are constantly updating the selection. Downloadable patterns have been recently added to the available formats.
Stitching Level Required:
Glenn says, "We have a range for everybody, elefunks and Bee's are very basic, but charts such as Notre Dame are not for the faint hearted."
