Inspiration: One of my college roommates gave me a little dish with this saying on it that I have managed not to break through about ten moves and two destructive cats. I keep it on my side table and use it to capture my needle, loose strands of floss, and so that hopefully, once in a while I will notice what it says. I always found the concept of being thankful important and meaningful. This design was stitched as a Thanksgiving decoration, but the sentiment does not have to be limited to one day a year.

Fabric Used: Hand-dyed Aida fabric from Stab and Stash Fabric
Floss: One strand of DMC six-strand embroidery floss - the design was stitched over two squares of fabric

Cross Stitch
Back Stitch
French Knot or substitute a straight stitch
Alternate Ideas:
Substitute a cross stitch variation for some or all of the cross stitches in the design.
Use beads or sequins to embellish the egg or basket.
