To make a Cross Stitch coaster, you will need the following:
- Begin by choosing a pattern. I used the free Coaster Cross Stitch patterns.
- Cut the shelf liner to the appropriate size. You will need two pieces for each coaster.
- Stitch the motif on the shelf liner or vinyl Aida with the plastic needle and the yarn color of your choice.
- If desired, cut a piece of craft foam slightly smaller than the coaster size.
- Put the craft foam between the two pieces of liner or Aida and join them together using back stitch or whipstitch.
- Click on the image to see the completed coaster.
- Use your coaster with your favorite beverage. The coaster will be surface washable. I would avoid placing extremely hot mugs or cups on the coaster.
