To create a Cross Stitch card using a photo frame card form you will need:

  • Photo Frame Card Form
  • Stitched Cross Stitch Design
  • Scissors
  • Acid-Free Tape or Glue
  • Trim or Ribbon - Optional

  • How to Create the Card:
    1. Choose a Cross Stitch pattern that will fit in the opening of the Photo Frame Card Form when stitched on the fabric of your choice.

    2. Stitch the design. Clip any stray threads from the back and press the design carefully.

    3. Cut the design to a size that will fit in the card frame. Take care not to cut the design too small.

Before you secure the stitching in the card form, you may want to think about decorating the card form.

    4. Place the design in the card. Use acid free tape or glue to secure the design if desired.

    5. You may want to add some trim or ribbon around the edge of the design.

    6. Write a personal message or saying in the card and deliver it to the intended recipient.

    Tips:
    1. If you accidentally cut the design smaller than the opening in the card, use ribbon, scrapbook paper, or fabric strips to camouflage the error.

    2. Be sure the design is centered before securing the fabric with tape or glue.
