No-Sew Vase Cover Project

This tutorial includes basic directions for making a no-sew vase cover using a cross stitched design and a cloth band. You may adjust the measurements to fit your choice of vase, design and cloth band. Once all the materials are assembled, this project can be finished in about thirty minutes.

Materials Needed:
  • Plain Vase Compare Prices
  • Finished Cross Stitch Design
    The one used for this project is approximately 4 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inches square, trimmed to within 1" of design. Alter the size of the design as needed to fit your vase.*
  • Matching Cloth for Band
    Measurement will vary, depending on the size of your vase. For these instructions, a piece 18 1/2 inch by 5 inches was used.
  • Ultra Hold Iron-On AdhesiveCompare Prices
    Again, measurements will vary. This project involved:
    • (1) 4 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch
    • (1) 3 3/4 inch by 7 1/2 inch
    • (2) 3/4 inch x 3 1/2 inch
    • several square inches of scrap adhesive.
    Heat N Bond brand was used in these directions. Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions when using this product.
