Pattern Key:
Choose the letters that correspond with your initials to create your monogram. You may also use these charts to stitch three letter words or messages.

Use cross stitch or a cross stitch variation to stitch the design in the floss colors of your choice.

The free blank monogram chart is for graphing your design, this chart helps with placement of the corner elements, and the monogram motifs charts offer optional ideas.

Stitching Level: Beginner
Finished Design Size: You will need to add several inches of fabric (depending on the project) to each side for the cut fabric size.
For commonly used fabric counts (in inches):
  • 11-count, 6 3/4w by 6 3/4h
  • 14-count, 5 1/4w by 5 1/4h
  • 18-count, 4 1/8w by 4 1/8h
  • 22-count, 3 3/8w by 3 3/8h
(For fabric counts not listed here use the Finished Design Size Calculator.)
Stitching Tips: Use one-two strands of floss for back stitch and two-three strands of floss for cross stitch. For other fabric counts count fabric, adjust strands of floss as needed.
