Hour Glass Block Outline Key
This design was inspired by Janet Wickell's Hour Glass Quilt Block Pattern.

Use this pattern key for suggested colors or stitches for the project.

Punchneedle Pattern Key:
Suggested Floss Colors:
  1. DMC Ecru
  2. DMC 150
  3. DMC 930
Use the outline of the sections as a indicator for placing stitches. For best results do not try to recreate the lines with punchneedle stitches.

Suggested Embroidery Stitches
  1. Long and Short Stitch
  2. Seed Stitch
  3. Satin Stitch
Use Back Stitch or one of the other line stitches to outline each section of the pattern for clearer delineation between the sections.

Other Ideas:
Stitch the outline with embroidery thread and fill in the areas with paint, bead or other embellishments.
