If you enjoy stitching blackwork-style patterns, these back stitch patterns will whet your appetite for back stitch charts. Some of the patterns have a few cross stitches thrown in, but are predominantly back stitch, so I included them on the list.
Another Brick in the Wall
My step-sister is a big Pink Floyd fan. This worked out well for me because I knew enough about Pink Floyd to make it through several conversations about them with a guy I was dating (now he's my husband). Now if I could just figure out what that movie The Wall means.Compare Prices for Pink Floyd's The Wall
Art Deco X
This pattern would make a great pin or ornament. Stitch it in the floss colors you desire. Some metallic or silk floss would make this design pop.
Back Stitch Motif Patterns
These back stitch motifs are all the same size. Collect several for a bookmark, or stitch a row as a border. Collect them all and stitch a unique sampler.
Diamonds and Squares
This pattern is fairly complex. Note that the back stitch lines do not always break in "normal" places. This pattern was used as the basis for the Give Thanks pattern.
Floating Diamonds
This pattern is based on one of my favorite back stitch lines - I call it the "up one and over two stitch." This stitch is helpful when creating the illusion of curves, or when creating diamonds, as in this pattern.
Floating Diamonds is used in Make a Cross Stitch Treasure Box.

This Happy Halloween Saying would be great with a halloween print border. Or, add it to a favorite Halloween motif.Leaded Window Pattern
I love glass windows with decorative motifs or beveled edges. This pattern reminded me of windows I have seen in older houses.
