- a small piece of Aida fabric
- tapestry needle
- short length of embroidery floss
- scissors
- hoop (optional)
To stitch tent stitches, follow the diagram above:
- Bring the threaded needle up at 1 and take it back down at 2.
- For the second stitch, bring the threaded needle up at 3 and take it back down at 4.
- Continue stitching right to left as you complete the third stitch by bringing the needle up at 5 and taking it down at 6.
- Bring the needle up at 7 and down at 8 to complete the next stitch.
- Complete the row of tent stitches by bringing the needle up at 9 and taking it down at 10. Continue practicing or secure the floss to complete the row.
