After you complete the Cross Stitch Colorblock, flip it over and look at the back for a few moments.
The floss ends should be snipped close to the backs of the stitches under which they are secured.
The backs of the stitches should be vertical.
The appearance of the back of a completed cross stitch projects affects how the front will look. Knots, threads carried a long way between stitches, and fuzzy thread ends can cause problems with the appearance of your projects.
The back of the design reflects the neatness of the stitcher. Don't worry if you are messy at first; you will be able to stitch more neatly with practice.
