Guide Review - Judy's Boo Boo Stick - Stitching Accessory

When I saw Judy's Boo Boo Stick in the Nordic Needle catalog, I just knew I had to try it out. I hate to remove stitches and have been known to give up a project if a lot of frogging was required. So, the promise of a tool to help with removing errant stitches really caught my eye.

To use the tool, first you clip the tops of the stitches that are to be removed. Snip-a-Stitch Scissors make this a quick task. The stitches are easy to remove by passing the large end of the brush over the back of the fabric. Any fuzz left on the top is removed by passing the small end of Judy's Boo Boo Stick over the top. The final step must be done very gently or the brush may damage the fabric. A light touch is needed.

Before you accuse me of wasting floss - I rarely reuse floss that I have taken out. It has been worn from the friction of going through the fabric, so reusing it adds to the wear. This results in worn-looking floss and often, breakage.

Judy's Boo Boo Stick is also great for dealing with textured flosses such as FurTaStitch or Wisper floss. Use the brush to control the direction of the nap of the floss or to make it more fluffy.
