Bring the threaded needle up at point 1 and weave the floss (as indicated by the red line) back and forth under the line of back stitches. You may choose to use the same color floss or a contrasting floss color. The floss should stay on top of the fabric at all times until it has been woven through all of the back stitches. Take the needle and floss down at point 2 and secure the floss by weaving it through the back of the stitches.

Use your needle to adjust the size of the woven stitches. You may choose to keep them a uniform size or experiment with tight and loose weaving in the same design.
