The table is covered with a glass top, so I can glue, paint, and do other messy things without worrying about ruining the top. It is usually piled up with books and general clutter, but right now Bert is taking advantage of the clean surface.

Behind the table is a large sideboard I inherited from my grandmother. I use the drawers to store fabric, hoops, frames, and other stitching supplies.

The top of the sideboard is my photo studio. That is why there are several lamps and a cork board in this area. (The large blue thing is the mirror that originally went with the desk, now covered with a sheet.)

I often iron on the side board using my "press and cut" board. Especially since the ironing board fell once when I was being a little vigorous about pressing a completed design.
